Dog Trainer (Remote, Casual)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Casual Dog Trainer to join our team in Brisbane. This position is fully remote, and the successful candidate will need to drive to clients' locations throughout Brisbane. As a Casual Dog Trainer, you will have the flexibility to manage your own work hours and conduct training sessions at times that suit both you and the client. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for dogs, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to using positive reinforcement methods in their training approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct group training classes, private sessions, and workshops using positive reinforcement techniques

  • Assess dogs' behavior and training needs, and develop personalized training plans accordingly

  • Provide guidance and support to clients on effective training methods and techniques

  • Monitor progress and adjust training plans as needed to achieve desired outcomes

  • Maintain accurate records of client sessions and progress reports

  • Stay updated on the latest developments in dog training methods and techniques

  • Ensure a safe and positive training environment for both dogs and their owners

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a dog trainer or similar role

  • Certification or qualifications in dog training or animal behavior

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong understanding of positive reinforcement training methods

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Passion for working with dogs and helping owners build strong bonds with their pets

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed

  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
